2020 Annual Meeting

Dear VAE,

Given the recent events with the coronavirus, I regret to announce that we have decided it is everyone’s best interest for us to cancel the 2020 VAE conference. The most prudent thing we can do right now is to limit our social interaction to help slow the spread of the virus.

We are currently working to reimburse all who have paid for conference registration and should have this credited back to you within a week. If you have made a hotel reservation, please contact the hotel and cancel. If you booked at Hotel Weyanoke, you can contact them at (434) 658-7500 or reservations@hotelweyanoke.com.

We would encourage anyone who was planning to present to submit their research for publication in the Virginia Economics Journal. You can find submission details here: https://vaeconomics.wordpress.com/journal/

If you have any additional questions or concerns, please feel free to email me at bhollar@marymount.edu.

Thank you to all of you for your interest in attending VAE’s conference.

Please stay safe and prepared during this difficult time. If you are an educator, please try to look out for students who may not have strong social support nearby.

I look forward to seeing all of you at our conference next year.
