2017 Annual Meeting

The 2017 Annual Meeting will be held at the University of Richmond downtown campus and at the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond in Richmond, Virginia March 16-17, 2017. The event will kick off with the plenary session on Thursday afternoon and will finish by Friday at noon.

Sandridge Lecture

The 2017 Sandridge Lecturer is Allan Drazen, Professor of Economics at the University of Maryland. Allan Drazen is Professor of Economics at the University of Maryland. He received his Ph.D. in Economics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1976 and has also help positions at the University of Chicago, Princeton University, Hebrew University of Jerusalem, and Tel-Aviv University. He is a Research Associate of the National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER) and the Center for Economic Policy Research (CEPR). He has been on the editorial boards of numerous journals and was the Co-Editor of Economics and Politics from 1998 to 2003. He has published many articles in the top journals and his graduate-level textbook Political Economy in Macroeconomics was chosen as the by the Association of American Publishers as the best book in economics published in 2000 by a Professional or Scholarly Press. His current research is on various aspects of electoral politics and on behavior of political leaders, focused on behavioral and experimental approaches.

Conference registration

REGISTRATION IS CLOSED FOR THE 2017 MEETING.

The costs are $70 for the conference and $40 for the banquet ($110 for both), but if you pay via our PayPal account before the conference you will receive a $10 discount on the conference fee. After filling out the registration form you will receive a PayPal invoice within a few days. A link is provided in the invoice for you to make payment and receive the discount.
