The Roanoke College IPOR released both the Consumer Sentiment and Real Estate reports for the third quarter of 2017. Both are positive for the Commonwealth. The party split for sentiment persists with those affilicated with the Republican party being more optimistic (see graph above.)

Dudley, the president of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York and Vice Chairman of the Federal Open Market Committee gave the 2016 Sandridge Lecture March 31, 2016 at VMI’s Center for Leadership and Ethics. William Dudley is giving the 2016 Sandridge Lecture at our annual meeting. Recently Dudley made some remarks at the New York Fed’s Press Briefing that might be of interest as we near our meeting in March.

The VAE and RABE are co-sponsoring a Fall Meeting in Richmond Friday September 4, 2015 from 11:30 am – 2:00 pm at the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond.
Speakers include Dr. Kartik Athreya, senior vice president and research director of the Research Department at the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond and Sarah Dunnigan, Executive Director, Virginia Board of Workforce Development.
